Mr. Mind debuted in 1943 in Captain Marvel Adventures #26. Originally a small, telepathic, alien worm who communciated via a radio carried around his neck. Mr. Mind would constantly hatch world domination schemes or otherwise try to defeat the Marvel Family.

Under the Copyright Act of 1909, which was in effect at the time, works were granted an initial copyright term of 28 years. To secure the full protection, the copyright had to be renewed during the last (28th) year of that first term, 1971. No such renewal was filed for his early appearances as far as we have been able to determine. This places him in the public domain.

Current Incarnation (PDSH)

In our version of the charcter, Mr. Mind is a small, bioengineeered, caterpillar like creature. His parasitic nature allows him to feed on the thought energy of humans, particularly those with super powers. While feeding, he can control the actions of his hosts, completely.
